The 10 World's 50 Best Restaurants and Bars in Paris
The World's 50 Best lists are voted by chefs, critics and well-traveled food lovers, and they reward places with a point of view rather than polished service. Great news, until you notice that a ranking doesn't tell you one table needs a €200 deposit while another is a cocktail bar you can walk into at 5pm.
Here are the 10 places in Paris that made The World's 50 Best Restaurants or 50 Best Bars, with prices, signature dishes and how to get in. For more starred cooking, see our Michelin restaurants; for more great drinks, our trendy bars.

The restaurants
Table, Bruno Verjus's counter in the 12th, was ranked the world's third-best restaurant in 2024; its 10 to 14 courses change daily with the market. Septime serves a no-choice menu with natural wine in the 11th. Arpège cooks only produce from Alain Passard's gardens. Le Clarence, in a 19th-century mansion near the Champs-Élysées, pairs land-and-sea cooking with a cellar of over 1,000 references. At Plénitude, in the Cheval Blanc hotel overlooking the Seine, Arnaud Donckele builds every dish around its sauce, and at Pavyllon, Yannick Alléno's counter in the Pavillon Ledoyen, you watch starred cooking on teppanyaki grills. Compare them with our fine dining list, the 3-star restaurants or, for a looser mood, our trendy restaurants.
The bars
Little Red Door, in the Marais, has made The World's 50 Best Bars nine times since 2012 with its farm-to-glass cocktails. Le Syndicat, in the 10th, pours only French spirits, until 2am. Danico, near the Galerie Vivienne, serves its Suze Moutarde in a Maille mustard jar. The Cambridge Public House pairs serious cocktails with meat pies and sausage rolls in a British pub setting. For more, browse our bars and late-night bars.
Booking tips
The restaurants need planning. Table asks for a €200 deposit per person, and Septime opens its bookings at 10am, three weeks ahead; they're gone within minutes. The bars are easier: Little Red Door takes walk-ins and opens at 5pm, and The Cambridge opens every day from 3pm. Two of the bars sit in the Marais, so pair a drink there with dinner nearby using our Le Marais page. Each place page adds opening hours, must-try dishes and the honest side of the reviews.
