Fine dining in Paris mostly happens indoors, behind heavy curtains. Starred terraces exist, but they're small, seasonal and rarely mentioned on the booking page, so you only learn about them once you've been seated inside.
These 73 Michelin restaurants with a terrace in Paris fix that. Each one is listed in the Michelin Guide, cross-checked against Le Fooding and Time Out, and tagged for its outdoor seating. Looking for good value? Start with the Bib Gourmand picks. Want the full starred list? See every Michelin 1-star restaurant.

Booking a Michelin restaurant terrace in Paris
The Michelin Guide covers three kinds of tables: starred restaurants (one to three stars), Bib Gourmand addresses for good cooking at a fair price, and recommended places. This list mixes all three, which is why you'll find both a Belle Époque bistro and a two-star mansion here. What they share is a few seats outside.
Starred, and outdoors
Le Clarence, two Michelin stars in a 19th-century mansion in the Triangle d'Or, opens a shaded terrace from May to September, weather permitting. Tables are limited, so ask for one when you book, then order the turbot with sauce vierge or the Champagne clams. In the Bois de Boulogne, Le Pré Catelan adds a terrace and gardens to its three stars; on the rooftops, L'Oiseau Blanc, Les Ombres and Le 39V all have outdoor tables with a view. Find them on our Michelin restaurants with a view page too.
Bib Gourmand and bistro terraces
On rue de Charonne, Clamato, a Bib Gourmand from the Septime team, takes no reservations and uses its terrace when the weather allows. Come at opening for crab fritters, ceviche and oysters. In the 5th, Kitchen Ter(re) has a small outdoor space for its Asian-inflected pasta: ask for it when you book, it fills quickly. Brigade du Tigre, another Bib Gourmand near Poissonnière, is worth it for the crispy caramelized chicken alone.
Where to look
The 8th arrondissement holds the most results, and our Michelin restaurants in the 8th go deeper. The 5th comes next, along with a good number of addresses just outside Paris, then the 11th and the 7th.
Budget and timing
Most places here are high-end, with a solid share in the upper-middle range. Lunch is usually the best deal, and terraces are at their best in daylight anyway. Book early from May onward, have a plan B for rain, and check each place page for the must-try dishes and insider tips. For outdoor tables without the stars, browse our full list of restaurants with a terrace.
