Where to drink specialty coffee in Paris
A serious coffee shop is easy to spot once you know the tells: a named roaster, a filter option next to the espresso, and staff who ask how you like it. Many of them open early and close mid-afternoon, and some skip weekends entirely, so check the opening-hours filter before you set out. The map shows which ones are close to where you're staying.
Coffee cultures from further east
Some of the best cups in Paris come from other coffee traditions. Hanoi Corner, in the 9th, has roasted its own coffee since 2017 and serves it through a traditional Vietnamese filter, with a bánh mì and a slice of pandan chiffon cake. It only opens weekdays from 11am to 4pm. In the Latin Quarter, +82 brings Seoul's café culture: an Einspänner or a Café Séoul, then a mango bingsu. Coffee tastes better with a proper plate.
