Natural wine pioneers
Le Verre Volé, near the Canal Saint-Martin, was one of the early champions of natural wine: pick a bottle off the wall at shop price plus a 7-euro corkage fee, and order the purée-saucisse. A glass with a proper dinner
At Juveniles, on rue de Richelieu near the Palais-Royal, a Franco-Scottish kitchen serves roasted magret and, in season, haggis, with around 100 wines to choose from; it closes Sunday, Monday and all of August.
