How to land a terrace table in the 11th arrondissement
Outdoor seats are always the first to go, and many places won't promise one when you book. Ask anyway, then show up at opening time, when the sidewalk tables are still free. Big names, with a table outside
Several of the 11th's most famous kitchens have outdoor seating. Septime serves its carte blanche lunch on weekdays only, Clamato takes no reservations (come at noon), and Bistrot Paul Bert books by phone for its famous pepper steak. Le Servan, Le Clown Bar and Pierre Sang in Oberkampf are on the list too.
